Your Dexcom G6 transmitter is designed to last three months and can be used across multiple sensor sessions. Once you have prepared your sensor site and used the Dexcom applicator to insert your Dexcom sensor, please use the following steps to attach your Dexcom transmitter:
- Clean the transmitter with an alcohol wipe
- Insert the transmitter, tab first, into the purple holder
- The transmitter should snap/click into place
- Ensure that the transmitter is flat and snug in holder
- Rub around the adhesive patch three times to secure it

Dexcom and Tandem have agreed which system issues are best handled by each company, including which company is responsible for reporting those events to the appropriate regulatory authority. To help ensure that the required reporting takes place in a timely fashion, customers may need to contact Dexcom for some issues and Tandem for others.
