Alerts automatically display on your Tandem Mobi mobile app and signal you with a beep or vibration on the Tandem Mobi insulin pump, ensuring you’re promptly notified about pump safety conditions that need your attention.
- Alerts notify you with either a sequence of three notes or two vibrations, depending on the settings selected in Alerts & Sounds
- Alerts will repeat every five minutes until they are cleared by tapping OK, and then every two hours if the issue persists, which may cause the battery to deplete quickly. However, if your predicted sensor glucose readings return to the target range, the alert will clear itself automatically.
- Both pump status lights will blink yellow twice in succession, pause for one second, and then repeat this pattern five times in total

Note: These Control-IQ Alerts are separate from any CGM alerts enabled during pump setup.
Control-IQ High Alert
Control-IQ technology has increased insulin delivery but detects a sensor glucose reading above 200 mg/dL and does not predict that the sensor glucose reading will decrease in the next 30 minutes.
How to Troubleshoot
- It is important that you troubleshoot and address your high glucose right away. Test your blood glucose (BG) and treat your high BG, as necessary.

- Tap OK to close the alert screen
Control-IQ Low Alert
The pump has predicted that your sensor glucose reading will drop below 70 mg/dL or 80 mg/dL, if the Exercise Activity is enabled, in the next 15 minutes.
How to Troubleshoot
- You cannot edit or adjust this alert for safety reasons
- You are at risk for low BG. Do not delay; eat carbs and monitor your glucose.
