Cracked or Shattered Screen on Your t:slim X2 Insulin Pump

Your t:slim X2 insulin pump ships with a screen protector. If your pump screen appears cracked, check the screen protector first to see if removing and replacing the protector will resolve the issue. If the glass under the screen protector appears visibly broken, do not remove the screen protector. Instead, call Customer Technical Support to report the issue and determine next steps.

Other Damage to Pump

If you drop your t:slim X2 insulin pump or it is struck against something hard, ensure it is still functioning properly:

  • Check that the touchscreen is responsive and clear
  • Check that the cartridge and infusion set are securely in place
  • Inspect for leaks around the cartridge and infusion set tubing connector
  • If you notice any cracks, chips, or other damage, immediately contact Customer Technical Support

Pump Disconnected from Man for High Impact Activity

To help prevent damage to your pump, please consider the following tips.

High-Impact Activities

While you can feel confident in the durability of your pump for everyday activities, remember that one of the benefits of your t:slim X2 insulin pump is being able to temporarily disconnect for high-impact activities.

Wearing Your Pump

Wear your pump in an area where it’s less likely to be bumped or crushed. Tandem Diabetes Care offers five infusion sets with various insertion angles, along with different tubing and cannula lengths, allowing you to choose different body locations for wearing your t:slim X2 insulin pump and helping to protect it from damage.

Protective Accessories

If you’re using a pump clip, check the fastener to make sure it remains secure and undamaged. Consider pump clips, cases, and accessories to match your personal style — and simultaneously protect your pump.
