Temperature Alarms on the t:slim X2 Insulin Pump

Alarms 10, 11, and 15 display automatically on your t:slim X2 insulin pump to notify you that the pump has detected an internal temperature below 35ºF (2ºC) or above 113ºF (45ºC) and all deliveries have been stopped.

How to Troubleshoot

  • Exposing the pump to direct sunlight for long periods of time can affect the temperature of the pump. Keep your pump covered if outside on a sunny day.
  • It is recommended to avoid exposure of your pump to temperatures below 41°F (5°C) or above 99°F (37°C). Insulin is very sensitive to heat and cold and can spoil even if exposed for a short period of time. Spoiled insulin can affect the safety and performance of your insulin pump.
  • Remove the pump from the extreme temperature or direct sunlight
  • Tap OK to close the alert screen and then resume insulin delivery
