Setting up the Quick Bolus feature enables you to deliver a bolus by simply pressing a button. It is a way to deliver a standard bolus by following beep or vibration commands without navigating through the pump screen.
Quick Bolus feature can be set to either units of insulin (increments of 0.5, 1.0, 2.0, or 5.0 units) or grams of carbohydrate (increments of 2, 5, 10, or 15 grams), which is independent of your active Personal Profile setting. You cannot exceed 20 button presses when using the Quick Bolus feature. A different tone will sound or the pump will stop vibrating in response to additional button presses.
You also cannot exceed the Max Bolus setting defined in your active Personal Profile. Once you reach the Max Bolus amount, a different tone will sound or the pump will stop vibrating. Look at the screen to confirm the bolus amount.

Deliver a Quick Bolus
- Press and hold the Screen On/Quick Bolus button
- Listen for two beeps or feel for vibrations
- Press the Screen On/Quick Bolus button for each increment of insulin you wish to deliver. For example, if you have the quick bolus set to increments of 15g of carbs for each button press, and you are eating 45g of carbs, you will press the button three times to deliver the correct amount of insulin.
- Wait for the pump to beep / vibrate for each increment pressed
- Press and hold the Pump button until the pump beeps / vibrates to confirm the bolus delivery. If more than 10 seconds have passed with no input, the bolus is canceled and never delivered.
Note: If you hear a different tone at any point during programming or the pump stops vibrating in response to button presses, look at the screen to confirm the bolus amount. If the Quick Bolus screen does not display the correct bolus amount, use the touchscreen to enter bolus information.
