Control-IQ technology uses CGM values* to predict glucose levels 30 minutes ahead and automatically adjust insulin delivery. Entering your total daily insulin (TDI) and weight on the Control-IQ screen (tap OPTIONS, My Pump, and then Control-IQ) allows the predictive technology to start working right away.
Total Daily Insulin
TDI includes both basal and bolus insulin. If you don’t know your total daily insulin, speak with your healthcare provider to get this value. If you are already using the t:slim X2 insulin pump, you can find your TDI in your pump history:
- From the Home screen, tap OPTIONS
- Tap the down arrow and then History
- Tap Pump History
- Tap Delivery Summary
- Tap 14-Day Average to see the total daily insulin breakdown
- Tap the Tandem logo to return to the Home screen
