Pump alarms display automatically on the t:slim X2 insulin pump to let you know that all insulin deliveries have stopped. Pay special attention to pump alarms as further action may be needed before resuming insulin.
- Pump alarms will re-notify every three minutes until the alarm is cleared, the cause of the alarm is addressed, and then insulin delivery is manually resumed
- Repeated or unresolved alarms can cause the battery to drain quickly so please address them as soon as possible.

Empty Cartridge Alarm (08)
Your pump detected that the cartridge is empty and all deliveries have stopped.
How to Troubleshoot
- Review proper technique to load a cartridge
- Tap OK to close the alarm screen
- Tap OPTIONS from the Home screen, Load, and then Change Cartridge to immediately change your pump cartridge
- Tap OPTIONS, My Pump, Alerts & Reminders, Pump Alerts, and then Low Insulin to view or change your low insulin alert settings. It is always recommended that you consult with your healthcare provider before making any adjustments.
Too Much Insulin Alarm (09)
Your pump detected that the cartridge has been filled past the maximum amount and all deliveries have stopped.
How to Troubleshoot
- Do not re-use or re-fill cartridges
- Do not overfill cartridges. The base of the syringe’s plunger should not pass the 3mL line.
- Review proper technique to load a cartridge
- Tap OK to close the alarm screen
- Tap OPTIONS from the Home screen, Load, and then Change Cartridge to immediately change your pump cartridge
