If you receive the Pump Reset Alarm on your t:slim X2 insulin pump, it means your pump has undergone a reset, all insulin deliveries have been stopped, and the IOB (insulin on board) has been reset to 0 units. This alarm will indicate on your pump with three beeps or three vibrations depending on your Sound Volume settings, which will repeat three times.
Note: Do not rely on the IOB amount displayed on your insulin pump immediately after a pump reset, as it may not reflect IOB from a recent bolus or basal delivery. Consult your healthcare professional to determine how long you need to wait after reseting your pump before you can trust the IOB calculation. Additionally, do not depend on the Max Hourly Bolus Alert for 60 minutes after a reset.
The pump reset will not delete your pump settings. However, you will need to complete the following steps to resume insulin delivery and reconnect your continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) sensor session:
- Tap OK to clear the Pump Reset Alarm
- Tap OPTIONS and then Load to complete the cartridge load process. You can reload your filled cartridge if it contains more than 80 units. Always disconnect the infusion set tubing from your site location before beginning the process.
- Confirm that the date and time on your pump are correct
- Tap OPTIONS, My CGM, Start Sensor, and then follow the on-screen prompts to restart or start your sensor session. The steps may vary depending on the type of CGM sensor used.
- Confirm that your Control-IQ technology settings are still saved
