If you already have an existing Tandem Source account but created a new account using a different email address, you may have questions about how this affects access to software updates for your Tandem Diabetes Care insulin pump. Here’s a guide to help you understand the implications.
System Status
Email Address in System
If the email address you used for the new account is already connected to your name within the Tandem Diabetes Care system, then you shouldn’t have any trouble. Just log in to Tandem Source using your new email address.
Email Address Not in System
If the email address you used is not already on file, a new Tandem Source account will be created. However, this account will not be associated with your insulin pump. As a result, your new account will not indicate when a software update is available for your pump.
As a workaround, you will receive an email notification when a new software update is available. To access the update for your pump, please log in to Tandem Source using the email address where you received this notification.
