The Tandem Source platform is optimized to wirelessly receive data from a Tandem Diabetes Care insulin pump and facilitate discussions with healthcare providers (HCP) to identify trends and make necessary adjustments.
Pump data is securely uploaded, typically once an hour, whenever your smartphone is connected to Wi-Fi or if you permit cellular data usage. To ensure uploads, it's important to keep the mobile app open on your smartphone.
Note: Please note that the amount of time it takes to wirelessly upload data from your pump to your Tandem Source account depends on how much data your pump has accumulated since its last upload. For t:slim X2 insulin pump users not using the t:connect mobile app, you can manually upload your pump data to your Tandem Source account with your Tandem USB cable.
If you already have a Tandem Source account and have authorized your HCP to link your pump with their professional account, they have access to view your pump data and reports. If you haven’t yet authorized your HCP, you can connect your pump to their computer at your next in-person visit or share reports via your Tandem Source account.
