Man Viewing Invalid Pairing Code Alert on t:slim X2 Insulin Pump

A

Sensor Connection

Ensure that the pump and new Dexcom G7 sensor are at least 20 feet (6 meters) away from any used Dexcom G7 sensors or other Dexcom G7 users before attempting to pair the new sensor to the pump.

Ensure that the Dexcom G7 sensor is not connected to a different insulin pump or the Dexcom G7 receiver. The sensor can only be connected to one medical device, such as a pump or the Dexcom receiver (not including mobile devices) at a time.

If the sensor is connected to another medical device, turn the device off. Do not stop the sensor session on the other device. After turning the other device off, it may take up to 20 minutes for readings to begin to appear.

Always pair the Dexcom G7 sensor to your pump before pairing it to a mobile device, i.e., for use with the Dexcom mobile app.

B

Confirm Pairing Code

Ensure the correct pairing code is entered into the pump. This can be confirmed by checking the sensor applicator or applicator packaging or in the Dexcom mobile app (if a session is active).

If the wrong pairing code is entered:

  1. Stop the sensor session
  2. Enter the correct pairing code
  3. Restart the sensor session

C

Confirm Bluetooth Connection

Ensure that there is a strong Bluetooth® connection between the pump and sensor. The pump and transmitter should be within line-of-sight of each other without any obstruction (including any body parts) and on the same side of your body. The pump screen should be facing away from your body.

Other Troubleshooting

If the alert is still present, turning the pump off and then on again may resolve the issue.

Follow the steps to perform a pump reset on the t:slim X2 pump or Tandem Mobi, whichever system you are using to pair to the Dexcom G7 sensor.

If the above steps did not resolve the issue, please contact Customer Technical Support for further troubleshooting.

Always refer to the user guide for important safety information and detailed step-by-step instructions on how to use your insulin pump. A full list of pump alerts, alarms, and malfunctions can be accessed in the user guide.
