How to Pair the t:connect Mobile App to Your Pump

When you pair the t:connect mobile app with your t:slim X2 insulin pump, your pump will have the capability to wirelessly upload both pump and therapy data to the t:connect mobile app. This allows you to conveniently view basal and bolus events, insulin on board, carbs, current settings, plus pump and sensor status directly on your smartphone.

Note: Since the t:connect mobile app is intended to be used as a secondary display, pairing is only permitted between one smartphone and one t:slim X2 insulin pump at the same time.

Use the following steps to pair your pump to the t:connect mobile app:

  1. If you haven't done so already, download the t:connect mobile app from either Google Play or the App Store on your compatible smartphone
  2. Open the t:connect mobile app and log in or create an account
  3. From the pump Home screen, tap OPTIONS and then the down arrow
  4. Tap Device Settings and then Bluetooth Settings
  5. Tap the Mobile Connection toggle to the on position
  6. Tap the blue checkmark to confirm and then again to start pairing
  7. From the t:connect mobile app, tap Begin and then OK
  8. Select the radio button next to your pump and tap Next
  9. A pairing code will be automatically generated on your pump. Enter this code into the mobile app and then tap Pair with pump on your smartphone.

A confirmation screen will appear on the pump once the pairing process is complete. Depending on how long it has been since your pump was last uploaded to the Tandem Source platform, your first upload via the mobile app can take anywhere from a few minutes to three days to complete.
